Under the Wishing Tree

 

First grade to fifth grade carried my best childhood memories where two guy friends and I would always hang out under this ginormous tree during recess. The playground at my school was very huge and had tons of equipment like swings, a see-saw, a balance beam, monkey bars, tetherballs, a large cement area for jump-roping and hop scotch, etc. At the very far back of the playground was a large tree that rarely any kids but my two friends and I would go to. We didn't know why, but something about it really fascinated us. 

All three of us shared the same interests: Rough-housing, running around and acting stupid, watching the same shows like Dragon Ball, Digimon, Power Rangers, etc., and most of all, imagining things! We role-played countless times under this tree. Most of the time, we'd all pretend that we were heroes trying to stop some dark lord or something. Other times, we'd have a contest to see who would be the bad guy, so we'd play a violent version of "Ring-around-the-rosie" by playing that, except that we'd twirl so fast that whoever got slammed down to the ground first would be the "bad guy" LOL. It was really fun, and we never got tired of making up stories to role-play to. The characters who we portrayed always made us feel as if we were in a whole different world, away from that playground and away from classwork and the nagging teachers... Being under that tree was paradise. 

What made it even more fun was that all of us were pretty adventurous kids. When we weren't roleplaying, we'd just walk and balance along the large roots of the tree while searching within cracks that we'd see here and there for interesting-looking sticks or cool bugs like rollie pollies.

Now, the tree, playground, and sky weren't all this colorful, but this is what it darn felt like the whole time when we were there. Totally out of reality, we were in our own little world, a world that we literally believed we were part of... That is, until the recess bell rang for us to return to class. But the adventure never stopped. The next day, we would always look forward to meeting under that tree again to venture to wherever our hearts desired. No wishes were made under that tree, but every moment sure felt like one.

Deeeep sea diving suit! by KB

Deep sea has no natural light coming from. Therefore it is just dark. 

because of high water pressure, diving suit for deep sea is normally heavy armed. 

I made the suit without oxygen tank because i think in the future diving suit can generate oxygen from water just like fish does.

Let's Make Friends with Fish!

When I was little, Science channels like Animal Planet, Travel Channel, and Discovery Channel always intrigued me. Half the time, I didn't really know what was going on because well, I was a small kid, but I remember staring at the TV screen in awe whenever I saw someone discovering something. And somewhat random, but flowy things also fascinate me, like the those ribbon baton things that ribbon dancers use to dance with.

So with those thoughts combined.. I thought that it would be pretty cool to have elements of art and science collide. What if while exploring the sea, television viewers could also be entertained by that flowy thingy on my character that looked like a goldfish tail? It's somewhat transparent, so it would be kind of cool I think to see it change colors and stuff while carrying water currents when the guy swims. (Haha, and maybe other fish might think he's a fish too!)  It could also change color depending on water temperature, etc.

Oh, and he's carrying a huge package on his back that contains stuff like an underwater tent and food. It would be interesting to see a show where people camp underwater... Science is so cool! And art could be the spice to that to make things more fun to look at.

Mobile Suit Iron Man???

I never watched "Iron Man" in my life. I should though, so I'm going to do that after I watch this other movie that I was assigned to watch. And I never drew many mechs before so aiufblakjnfaef.

But when I thought of "Iron Man", for some reason, the words "Gundam, gundam, gundam" kept on popping into my head, so yeah. o.o

Inspiration: MSN-06S Sinanju gundam, Dread Joker noise change form from "Mega Man Starforce 3", and Protoman from the "Mega Man Battle Network" series.

Sorry I'm late on this. I'm an incredible noob at the whole blogger thing and didn't even see the "superhero" topic until now. xAx But now I'll know where to find the topics next time. XD

Anyway, I wanna take a shot at being Megaman *dresses up in a mega hoodie*! Protect the cybernetwork against viruses and evil organizations from wreaking havoc upon all netusers alike! ....While laughing hysterically at the same time because well.... Who wouldn't do that while blasting villains to bits? .__. Ok ok, you can just call me an antihero or something. Only antiheroes get the chance to bust many guts while laughing like a retard while shooting out mustard from a cannon (i need sleep)
